The long-awaited debut album Magnetar by Italian electronic artist Perdurabo, finally unleashed after a decade today, Jan 26, is nothing short of a sonic marvel. Produced by acclaimed UK producer, Gareth Jones and Mastered by Matt Colton, Perdurabo draws influences from Italy, Germany, and the UK.
Davide Arneodo, the mastermind behind Perdurabo, seamlessly merges electronic, rock, and classical elements and brings cultures together with his music.
From the opening titular track โMagnetar,โ we are immersed in an intense vortex of rock-filled electronic music. Clocking in at 6 minutes and 7 seconds, this auditory journey pulls, pulses, and pacifies in equal measure.
โHopes,โ one of the three successful and well-received singles preceding the album, exudes a dark and mysterious allure. The ethereal vocals and brooding musicality set a contemplative tone, earning much praise for its effortless introspection.
โDark Fireโ and โCast Stones,โ the other two singles, further showcase Perduraboโs mastery of sound. โDark Fireโ builds with a sharp intensity that burns bridges. Meanwhile โCast Stonesโ delivers a catchy performance with a spell of emotive, sensitive deep vocals.
โBerlin Rainโ brings Berlin vibes to the brood with its experimental electronic melodies clashing like cold metal on the relaxing stream of dreamy music, reflecting the cityโs futuristic energy and tranquil moments. Finalizing with the ninth track, โStep Closer,โ bathes you in the warmth coming through like sun rays perforating in the atmospheric hazy darkness of our minds.
Davide Arneodo brings years of experience and expertise to the table and also brings notable collabs with talents like Jรถrg Wรคhner and Roman Rappak in Magnetar.
Perdurabo is sure to leave an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape with his masterpiece Magnetar. Listen to the album on Spotify.
