Man From Oslo by J.Fur: Review
Jordan Furlong AKA J.Fur is a sensational EDM artist from San Diego, with a musical thrill guaranteed to make you groove. His uplifting number “Man From Oslo” is a tune that will take you on a deep-house journey, with gripping synths and beats. Aside from that, a mysterious vocal layer creates an atmosphere that evokes powerful emotions.
“Man From Oslo” paints a picture of a Norwegian spy infiltrating a military stronghold, and gathering secret intel all the while melodic beats sync with the mission at hand. The song has the ability to bring to a world filled with pulsating rhythms and an energizing tempo. So, apart from my cinematic depiction of the track, I believe when you’ll hear it, a whole other scene will come to mind as the rising synthesizers gather your thoughts. Anyway, from the actual perspective of the tune, I gotta say, the transitions were pretty sweet. J.Fur mixes a blend of EDM with some ambient thrown in for good measure. Particularly, the latter bit is prevalent in the Man From Oslo’s bridge portion. The tune slows down with an ethereal harmony and then progresses into a bass-heavy interlude.
Dance music may have shifted its trend over the years. From 1970s disco to 2010s nu-disco to 1990s rave genre, to 2015s deep house. Everything has an interesting pattern, and I’m glad artists such as J.Fur are making waves in the biz to ensure the sound stays fresh.
