Manuel drops inspiring new song ‘Camino Desconocido’
Manuel’s journey of facing his fears of the unknown served as the inspiration for ‘Camino Desconocido’, which translates to “Unknown Path”.
“The arrival of his daughter altered my perspective of the world and made him confront his traumatic childhood experiences. Manuel used to think that everything happened for a reason, so he should just accept it and be thankful to be alive. This led him to suppress some of his feelings, which ultimately hurt him and the people he cared about. Manuel had to face, investigate, and start processing his trauma as a result of becoming a father in order to be his truest self. He discovered how to feel at peace with his past through therapy. By sharing this, he hopes to reduce the stigma associated with therapy, especially in the Latin community. He strongly advises everyone, but especially latino men, to speak with a therapist. Making that first step requires courage and strength, but it is worthwhile.
