Niclas Tamas release a new single ‘Dreaming Legacy’

Do you ever take a moment to sit and listen to the silence?
Silence has a lot of beauty to it; it’s a blank canvas on which an artist can paint characters, images, and music. I fantasize about a farmhouse in the countryside where I can compose uninterrupted, with swallows and gulls gathered on the roof to listen as my chords come to life, and squirrels in the forest stopping harvesting acorns, ears keening, to appreciate the rare new sound.
“Very amazing process to transform this piece from something mechanical to a live organism,” I wrote in my diary in January 2022. It was all about finding the right balance first, then bringing it to life with strings, wood, and brass, and finishing with dynamics. There is nothing pretentious about it.
So I started with my farmhouse fantasy. I looked out the imaginary window to infinite rolling fields dotted with trees, mountaintops chatting with the clouds, and the sun peaking through to say hello. I envisioned footsteps crunching across icy ground and frozen twigs snapping as I stepped outside in my thick cap and padded coat, while everything around me shined.
Early in the morning, the trees awoke from their rest, silently nodding as I passed by, sharing their isolation with me. I saw my silent shadow in the sun as I walked along a tree-lined path near the river, a Lost Boy, never leaving but never interrupting my thoughts, for ever my company like a faithful dog. I swam alone, accompanied only by the waves, whose quiet shushing reminded me of the strings running through this tune.
I also added nature’s treasures to this early foggy soundscape: the first snowdrop, dew on a leaf like a little teardrop, exquisite pinecones and snowflakes, earthy potatoes, and ripe oranges thick with juice.
One evening in February 2022, while listening to the composition, I wrote: “It has a very pleasant vibe. Happy and pleasant! Maintain this state of mind “.. To produce a gentler sound impression, I pondered switching from Albion to Tundra, but realized it wouldn’t work because the piece would lose its freshness and character.
After getting everything in order, I started working on the final mix, keeping it basic and to the point. As though it were natural. Each note is flawlessly created and placed precisely where it belongs. The interval, a heartbeat to acknowledge the silence that gave birth to life.
This composition carries on the dreaming legacy of a farmhouse in the countryside where I may create in silence. I’m hoping you’ll notice it as well.
