Chicagoโs noir-rock quartet wht.rbbt.obj closes out their ambitious NATO Call Sign Trilogy with the fierce and cinematic โOscar Bravo Juliett,โ released on October 17, 2025. Following Whiskey Hotel Tango and Romeo Bravo Bravo Tango, this final chapter detonates with spice, sass and seduction. The husband-and-wife duo River and Frank Rabbitte lead the charge with her smoky femme-fatale vocals and his taut, intricate production, making for a dangerous yet magnetic combination.
The opening track, โFallout/Shelter,โ a sweet love song, comes alive with tender strumming guitars, and River emerges with such a subtly impressive, tender warmth in her rich voice that glides over the arrangement like smoke curling through dim light. Midway, the track blooms into a lush orchestral wave, swirling with intimacy that engulfs your senses.
Things heat up with โCash On Delivery,โ a swaggering, pulse-pounding groove that bursts with grit and sensual energy. Over thumping drums and snarling guitars, Riversings sultrily in her smoky mezzo voice, soaring up high sexily like a siren, full of desire dripping out with so much sharpness. Here, sheโs singing of men who desire her, but she keeps ownership of her expertise, saying, โI want cash on delivery.โ The bridge drops into a hypnotic haze, making it the track that begs to be played in a red-lit bar at closing time.
The finale, โI Get Stuck,โ drives the message home with a gritty, head-nodding groove and lyrics that cut like a confession. River tautly phrases her lines as she circles around obsession and entrapment, while staying smug and smoky. But sheโs tense, alright. So she sings, โI walk a tightrope โtween the black and the blued.โ All along, the backing vocals and percussive claps lock into a soul-drenched, retro, and raw rhythm.
Altogether, Oscar Bravo Juliett erupts. Wht.rbbt.objโs finale doesnโt fade to black but burns through the screen, leaving smoke in its wake.
