Other Side Of The Street (Radio Edit) by Kate Ellis: Review
“Other Side of the Street” by Kate Ellis features an energetic and cheerful melody that we need more of nowadays! Embodying the spirit of pop rock, and the delicacy of acoustic melodies, the song was a fresh experience from start to finish.
The track starts off with a pleasant percussion segment and a sweet voice guiding the way. In “Other Side Of The Street” the songwriting themes have plenty of heart, and it’s something anyone can relate with really. Man, talk about a moving experience! Pop rock has so many angles, incorporating lost love, even new-found love. But, in the gripping tale of Kate’s track, we see her side of things.
When I’m on my way to work, the mood-killing presence of traffic is always imminent. Folks, at times you need a little pick-me-up, a song on the radio perhaps that tells you a story you know all too well. And at those times the artist of the spotlight just deserves the utmost appreciation, you’d be lying to yourself if that weren’t true. The atmosphere and musical elements of “Other Side Of The Street” remind you of the feel-good tracks from the old days that speak of love and everything surrounding it. Themes of destiny and personal whim are true on the track, and the songwriting elements feel quite genuine to hear. Aside from that, there’s the singer’s soothing aura that keeps us glued to the tune.
