Neighbours Sara Perlerup and Peter Anderson bring to you a heartfelt EP, Our Lonely Worlds Collide, via their project, Blue & Bright. All there is here is an easy-going country-pop record with unfeigned blitheness coming through acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies.
Through five tracks recorded in Nashville and finalized in Sweden, the pair journeys through the intercontinental climate to come off utterly intimate and homely. You will hear much of the Nashville spirit through local artists, like Jason Roller with his electric guitar, from the band Alabama, and the Grand Ole Opry staff band.
The EP opens with the warm glimmer of the guitars of the title track, alongside the sparkling splashes of the cymbals. The singer, singing softly, brings the lonely worlds of two people together through music.
With โFirebird,โ remembering a cruise to an exciting party in รlvdalen, Sweden, with a joyous duet, comes โStorm,โ warm and deep but feisty, with sparks of cymbals flying about and drums rumbling. It was the first song Sara ever penned. The pedal steel guitar brings an intriguing, profound factor into the song, as credited to the gifted musician Bradley Griffin, who holds much potential.
Coming up, as the first song written together by the neighbors, โDown By Our Lakeโ leads the way to joy with upbeat, thumping drums, singing about the carefree summer spent by the lake, making music together. Our Lonely Worlds Collide closes with โOn a Plane to Nashville,โ where Peter is at home, missing Saraโs songs, while she is on a trip in Nashville.
