Outside by Yung Lano: Review
The Hyde Park, Massachusetts, rapper Lano Soprano, who goes by his rap name Yung Lano shoots for mainstream success with his latest blazing single, Outside.
From Making music at the age of 18 to having his debut full-length album released in 2020, Yung Lano has been honing his craft for almost a decade. Following the significant online streaming success of his previous single Slidin, the 26-year-old rapper now sends a message aiming for the mainstream with his latest release, Outside. Combining the old-school lyrical style of gangsta rap and contemporary mumble rap with his signature melodic bars, Yung Lano is taking the rap game to a whole new level. He creates a vibe that almost everyone can relate to by spitting bars that are melodic and grandiose inspired by his personal struggles and the hustle culture.
Quotable Lyrics:
โTurn a halfie toย a whole yeah I got it on my own
Say she be trappinโ but she got it on the pole
If you run on me then Iโm clappinโ at you so, donโt be lackin at your home.โ
On the instrumental side of things, the fast trap beats accompanied by the slow keys have a melancholic undertone that perfectly compliment the reverb soaked melodic rap style that blurs the line between lyrical, melodic, and mumble rap. Seems like Yung Lano has discovered his signature sound and this is only a glimpse of the storm heโs stirring up.
