“Paper Tongue” is a marvelous indie-folk EP by musician Luke Aaron Clark. Fans of the genre would be overjoyed at each acoustic verse, passionate narrative, and overall melodic charm of the record. Take it from me, I’m an avid follower of all things folk-music and it delights me to have come across such an evocative work of art by a musician who’ll definitely resonate with the masses.
The intimacy and musical fervor begin with the track “Oh Isn’t Life Pretty.” It’s an endearing number filled with passionate guitar lines and a singer with a hypnotic voice. The cadence is just lovely and easy to follow from start to finish. “Just OK” brings the allure of classical music to the folksy vibe of the EP. Accompanied by a calming piano and cello arrangement, the song pays homage to veteran artists such as Damien Rice, who also instills the aura of classical music into his music. I’m sure, he’d be ecstatic to have come across Luke Aaron Clark’s music for certain! Furthermore, a bit of blues and drama come on in the track “Peace in Our Lives” with a striking sliding guitar gently gliding through the song.
In a nutshell, “Paper Tongue” by Luke Aaron Clark is an EP that’s ideal for those quiet nights with a glass of wine by the fireside. It sets the scene perfectly and will keep you company till the break of dawn.
