Peter Lake released enthralling new song ‘Comforts Cross’
The self-proclaimed “Ghost of New York” has released his first album of 2023, which contains three hit songs. Peter Lake, the only anonymous singer-songwriter in the world, has emerged in the past two years with a series of songs that have received over 23 million Spotify streams and 19 million YouTube streams. Once more, Lake has used his music to create uplifting and reassuring messages for listeners all over the globe.
The song ‘Comfort’s Cross’ on Lake’s most recent EP is perhaps the most peculiar, as it seems to contradict Lake’s electro pop style. In their most recent album, ‘Comforts Cross’ reminds listeners of Lake’s contention that music no longer has genres. The song, a classic ballad written by Lake as a poem in response to the death of a loved one and the subsequent mourning, is a raw and visceral emotional response led by his voice and supported by minimal background music.
