Pimpin Change rises from ‘Ground Up’ in new album
Pimpin Change dropped his hot new album ‘Ground Up’ on 17 December 2022. This new 12-track album gives listeners an insight into his struggles and profound emotions while creating it. ‘Ground Up’ is soaked in raw passion and emotion with a sense of honesty and realness. Album opener ‘Do It Like That’ is an uplifting HipHop song that shows Pimpin Change’s passion and commitment to his job with lines like ‘I’m changing what I’m doing cause I’m looking up’ and ‘I’m just looking to make my mark understanding I’m aiming hard.’ Other songs on the album have smooth RnB beats evocative of the soulful sounds of the past, such ‘Play Them Digits’ and ‘Pay To Play,’ where Pimpin Change’s vocal performance is like a prime Ice Cube. From start to finish, the album’s precise production is inch perfect; deep-sub heavy kicks mixed with thunderous 808s, soulful synths & keyboards interwoven into each panning ear, & vocals prominent where they should be. It led me to a low place in my life, but the only way out was to believe in myself more. It taught me to stand on my own work and believe what I learned,’ adds Pimpin Change, and the album keeps true to its real beginnings – a masterpiece not to miss.
Jeremy Hill, also known as Pimpin Change, is a brilliant musician who uses emotive lyrics, addictive beats saturated in Bluesy rhythms blended into HipHop Soul, and melodic flows to shake listeners’ souls and make them rethink life. Pimpin Change acquired his sound comprehension in 6th grade when he played trumpet for a school band, but his creative inventiveness and flare were controlled by the rigorous classical numbers teachers limited him to. He wanted a rawer connection to the art he was absorbing, so he befriended Z-Ro, DJ Screw, and Pimp-C. After that, he took an audio engineering course at Temple Community College. Theatrical scoring, classical music, and orchestral orchestration motivated him to elevate his work. Pimpin Change is making the most of every situation, good or bad, and becoming the ‘architect of your outcomes.’ Now under his own record company Country Dreams Entertainment, Pimpin Change has taken the musical world by storm. His ever-evolving character promises him success in this hard profession.
