Ruby Topaz is a talented artist capturing the essence of 60s psychedelic rock in their album “Rabbit Hole.” It’s a solid record that pays homage to the vintage era, deriving from hard rock guitars, trippy rhythm effects, and a diverse instrumental aura that is unmatched. Ruby Topaz takes you on a melodic voyage that connects with your mind and soul, and without a doubt, it’s a thrilling experience to undertake.

The album opens up with the self-titled track “Rabbit Hole.” It’s an enchanting tune with rock guitars, and surprisingly a sitar entrance! Alongside these facets, a high-pitched singer commands the mic and forms a bond with the instruments that’s pleasing to witness. There’s more to that in the melodies that follow, such as the folk-rock allure of “Be My love.” It’s a song that oozes the vibe of yesteryear hits, with swaying guitar bits and a classic rhythm. Aside from that, I believe the production quality of the entire album was designed to have a unique sound pertaining to the late 20th century. Ultimately, each melody is layered with nostalgic charm and will vibe with boomers and Gen Z-ers all the same.

A sentimental hymn plays out in “Thanks for Nothing.” The emotion is brought on by a gripping vocalist at the helm, and clean guitar chords. The opening arrangement is pretty chill but elevates when percussions and bass enter the mix. If you’re seeking a terrific take on the psychedelic rock genre, then the music of Ruby Topaz should be right up your alley.
