room service by Sabreen Islam: EP Review
Sabreen Islam is a stellar indie-pop musician possessing a soothing voice and has a way with words in her fresh EP “room service.” It’s a song collection that hits your heart with a sentiment. A soul-stirring and emotional musical ride, fans of indie-pop shall resonate with each piece gladly. Sabreen is a musician with roots in Bangladesh and New Zealand and has an impressive melodic aura. Primarily her creativity, which is a breath of fresh air on the indie scene.
From introspective lyrics, soft acoustic cadence, and a serene voice, Sabreen’s EP enchants our senses. The touching narrative of “you will never see this” can be a perfect testament to that fact. This is due to the soft guitar bits and the artist’s lovely voice taking shelter in the melody. At times minimal like a whisper, and expressive like a cry, her essence as a singer speaks various lengths, and is a joy to witness. An intimate and gripping tune unfolds in “victory.” It’s a heartfelt piece with a chill piano rhythm and calming vocals. Also, a pretty wholesome aspect is Monirul Islam, Sabreen’s father working alongside her to produce the track. With that in mind, the song feels much more enriching, and personal.
As a musician, songwriter, and producer, Sophie Bialostocki collaborated with the musician on the EP. Also, sound engineers Ariki Perana, Hina Beaming, and Adnan Ahmed contributed their efforts to this EP with Sabreen. That being said, “room service” is a fantastic EP that deserves global praise!
