Sometimes we just need a great funky song to dance to. Though German in lyrics, people from around the world have defied all language barriers and come together to love the song “Wenn” by Seßler/ Zeeb.
“Wenn” is just that track for you because it is just what you want to hear from these studio musicians who spend little on their passion projects and still end up blowing up on musical platforms. Why? Because Kurt Seßler and Werner Zeeb have paid with something much more impactful—their dire efforts. And if you love funky and jazzy music, you will love what they have conjured up in “Wenn.”
“Wenn” has trumpets blowing over very lively and light drumming and a catchy folky guitar tune with a pumping, groovy bassline. The result is catchy, lively, with a cranky high-pitched voice and timbre, which oddly suits the song in a lighthearted and enjoyable way. The tempo ebbs and releases to satisfy the hooks. It’s like going on a joy ride. It’s the song you need when you need to shake off a bad day and just dance and groove to a rhythm. Werner Zeeb having handled the production, we can’t but laud his musical sensibility.
The jazzy track also has a voice worth noting. The cranky, but entertaining, and cheeky voice of the vocalist has a playful tone, and the lyrics are masterful, radio-friendly, and showcase Kurt Seßler’s songwriting skills. The song released the 17th of this March, go check it out!
