Sky Fallin’ by Dean Mueller: Review
Oregon native singer-songwriter stirs up the listeners’ emotions in his newest single Sky Fallin’.
The song has a refreshing vibe to it. The guitar strums are so fascinating that it captivates the audience to listen more. The lyrics say a lot and you want to open up and fly. The vocal is as fresh as it could get as if someone very close to you is singing this song just for you. It tells us a story with humor to make it even more interesting. The chorus has layered vocals and harmonies that follow the melody very well. The catchy guitar riff helps give structure and character to the song. The song is exceptionally well arranged.
The song starts in a very storytelling mode with depth in the vocal till it drifts down to the chorus very differently. The song converses
“I tried and tried to make life shine
She always saw it gray
The feelin’ I was never good enough
Was gonna put me in my grave”
He basically tells us about the ups and downs in the love life of the singer where he kept on trying to be the right guy but someone it didn’t work out and he was always to blame. That’s when he talks about the sky in a rhetorical way that it’s always falling here where it should have been bright and sunny for him.
