Sober by Alex Kate: Review

Indie pop is a genre I’ve always admired, and Alex Kate’s songs delight me in that same regard. Her chill number “Sober” is the ideal love song, as it provides introspective lyrics alongside an emotive voice. The track has a soothing rhythm with beats, synths, and minimal guitar bits. Altogether it creates an atmospheric tone that will stay with you for days.
Alex Kate is a special artist with the skill to form a melody that instantly vibes. This is particularly the case with her polished track “Sober.” Each verse, chorus, and breakdown is electrifying, and wildly catchy too. It’s the power of her voice that keeps the melody solid and groovy at the same time. The ebb and flow of “Sober” has plenty of intensity, especially the transitions. For instance, before diving right into a chorus section, the track slows down and halts the percussion. This pattern draws anticipation from an audience and catches their attention. And when “Sober” finally returns with the beats, the emotion escalates. It comes back stronger, and more resonant too.
“Sober” by Alex Kate is an enchanting tune that gets better each time you hear it. I believe the reason lies in the track’s elevation. Particularly when the tempo switches from mellow pop to an all-out anthem. It creates a lovely aura that hits you hard and is immensely catchy too. With that being said, please don’t miss out on this stellar song!
