Somebody Hold Me by Strawberry Blonde: EP Review
Strawberry Blonde’s music is for the soul, healing, and life itself. This musical act brings a sensational sound to us through introspective lyrics and beautiful rhythm sections. So much so, that one minute with their songs and you’d be enchanted by the thrill of it all. That being said, “Somebody Hold Me” is an EP crafted by Strawberry Blonde and something that any indie fanatic will be overjoyed to experience.
The record starts off on a magical note with the track “Snowed In.” It’s a lighthearted indie tune with moving guitars and a delightful trumpet solo to keep us company. In addition to that, the atmosphere and melodic patterns are simply astounding. Thus, it’s a fantastic number to hear and chill out to every once in a while. Furthermore, the funktastic adventure of “Always” takes us by surprise. Through kaleidoscopic guitar patterns and a vibrant vocal section, this lovely piece shall take you on a sonic ride worth remembering. The ‘funk’ part of the track arrives from math rock guitar arrangements and a drummer that drives the track.
“Stay” ends the EP, and in a graceful fashion too. An elegant melody through a shoegaze-inspired guitar pattern, and amping up the intensity are wild percussions. Apart from that, there are some ambient portions through another trumpet solo. Altogether, a lovely cadence to absorb!
