STARSHIPS by C-BEEM: Review
STARSHIPS by C-BEEM is a love letter to Sci-fi themed music from the 80s. Altogether, the track is perfect for anyone wishing to take a time machine back into that era. There’s something truly nostalgic and melodic about this piece, it arises from the use of catchy synthesizers and a zestful singer at the mic. The songwriting elements are also quite charming, and the overall tempo has a delightful upbeat pattern.
From the very first note, I could sense C-BEEM’s song pertaining to classic synthwave, and a time when science fiction was at its peak. Whether it was a show about UFO sightings or government conspiracies, you can’t deny the intrigue of extraterrestrial life forms. Anyway, in “STARSHIPS” a retro melodic outfit is represented, and its prominence is felt from the singer’s tone and production of the track. I’ve always been an ardent follower of contemporary music that has strong ties with the past. It’s an interesting mechanic at play, and more and more artists dabble in that trend. In a similar fashion, C-BEEM employs it in “STARSHIPS”, and the result is quite fascinating. So, if you’re seeking the ideal track resembling an influential period of music history then “STARSHIPS” might just be up your alley.
A dramatic transition commences near the song’s exit. Orchestral melodies arrive and the intensity connects with the synthwave passages of “STARSHIPS.” It was a lovely addition, along with all the other dazzling portions of C-BEEM’s masterpiece.
