Take A Stand by Jaded Jane: Review
I find at times like any human being that life is just too much to handle, and it’s better to give up. But, we humans are truly special. Entire armies can conquer lands if one friend can cheer up another, and if the power of melody from a band can heal your mood, then why not “Take A Stand”? Such is the title of our band in the spotlight today, Jaded Jane, an indie band basing their instrumentation around celestial piano arrangements and truly uplifting voices.
“Take A Stand” has one of the most subtle and soothing piano pieces I have ever heard. Jaded Jane’s pop aesthetic, as well as their peaceful aura make up for a truly vivid number in “Take A Stand”. The singer’s voice cascades beautifully onto the scene where the piano is played so graciously. The intro itself is truly heavenly, combining piano, drums, and some synthesizer noises too. What truly impressed me was the melody, and the lyricism as well. Truly an ode full of soul, and a wholesome theme too, the band has a profound sense of poetry and rhythm. The verse is very catchy and it feels like the singer takes in deep breaths while singing each note. There are some soft transitions and build-up progressions where the piano is played solely and leads onto a melody altogether with the other instruments.
All in all, “Take A Stand” is a delightful number by Jaded Jane! The harmonies and overall composition by the band are remarkable and how they took the center stage with each piano note is amazing.
