Terrible Fight by The Trusted: Review
Coming of age is a genre that is witnessed mostly in film and television. However, in recent years, there are many genres existing inside rock and pop that excite the vibrations of youth within us and provide that familiar soulful experience that we desire. So, in that regard, the music of The Trusted and their energetic single “Terrible Fight” truly made me smile!
Whether it’s the space-like synthesizers or the soothing voice from the singer, “Terrible Fight” just screams youth and everything about tagging along with a group of close companions and experiencing the joy of life. At least, that’s the vibe the track gave off because I have a very imaginative approach while hearing melodies. Anyway, aside from the general feeling, the instrumentation follows this slightly distorted guitar piece and interesting dramatic drum patterns. The musical genre of “Terrible Fight” by The Trusted, can be categorized as a mix between indie rock and synth-pop. Particularly the latter aspect pertains to the punchy presence of the basslines and those otherworldly synthesizer pieces.
The new age of indie music is surely an intriguing era for up-and-coming artists to rejoice. As for us listeners, an experimental and creative approach from various artists can be felt, and this is where the intensity of The Trusted’s music shines. My favorite bits were the chorus pieces and the electric guitar riff sections because that tone is truly magnificent to hear. All in all, a sensational track and something no one should miss out on.
