The Heroic Enthusiasts release a new single ‘Pearls’
Fits & Fashions by The Heroic Enthusiasts, the first of two EPs due out this year on Meridian/ECR Music Group, debuts on June 24th, following a string of victories for the acclaimed pair.
“The Fits and Fashions EP is essentially ‘Side 1’ of our upcoming album,” guitarist and songwriter Thomas Ferarra explains. “‘Side 2′ will be released later this year.” Fits & Fashions’ five songs offer a peek of who we are as a band: one that takes 80’s nostalgia and transforms it into something current, new, and invigorating.”
The two singles from this new EP that have already been published have swiftly become the most successful hits in The Heroic Enthusiasts’ career.
“Fits and Fashions is essentially about the world’s personal and social dichotomies,” singer and songwriter James Tabbi explains. “Regardless of the inherent problems, we all want to try to correct what we’re seeing and experiencing, to better fit it all together, to fashion a better world.”
Fits & Fashions, co-produced and mixed by Post-Punk and New Wave studio icon Stephen Hague (New Order, Peter Gabriel, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys), harkens back to the synth-and-guitar driven 1980’s songs that helped form the duo’s own musical terrain.
The Heroic Enthusiasts’ now-established musical collaboration with Hague began with an auspicious beginning. “So much of what I’m sent these days is just beats with hooks,” Hague adds, “but the Heroic’s material was a breath of fresh air.” “I was blown away by their songcraft and musicality when I first heard their demos.” “After a few initial phone calls with Thomas and James, I knew and said, ‘Buckle up fellas, I’m joining the team.'”
Hague, who has produced and recorded some of the most memorable pop songs of the last half-century with Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Peter Gabriel, and Erasure, did, in fact, join the Fits and Fashions crew, which also included James Tabbi and Thomas Ferrara.
Following successful solo careers as recording artists, producers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists, Tabbi and Ferrara came together due to their common interests of Brit-pop, New Wave, and Post-Punk. Tabbi and Ferrara’s creative collaborations skilfully integrate the intellectual and emotional, a contradiction that has already piqued the interest of listeners worldwide. Fits & Fashions will be released via Meridan/ECR Music Group on June 24th.
