The New Age by Waverly Drive: Review
Solo visionary Phil Galloni leads the melodic wave of Waverly Drive, a delightful act brimming with talent. His track “The New Age” pertains to the 1980s pop movement, where genres such as new wave and synth rock were most prominent. However, suppose you’ve recently been around the YouTube music space and heard modern pop hits. In that case, we’re on the same page, folks, because these genres have made a solid comeback!
“The New Age” is one of those songs with equal amounts of charm and wonder. This is evident from the magical synth intro, which takes you on a voyage of sound worth latching on to. And once the vocal conductor arrives to grab your attention, everything feels on track, and the vibe is just right. Waverly Drive is an artist that follows a genuine flow in their music; it’s comforting to follow and easy on the ears. I wouldn’t have thought of it any other way because the cadence absorbs your attention entirely! Being a huge synthwave fan myself, the 1980s tonal constructs of Phil’s song immersed me wholly, and it feels like hopping on a time machine back to a much simpler time.
The instrumental diversity of “The New Age” impressed me plenty. From clean synth passages to guitar and electronica solos, the track hypnotized my senses from start to finish. With that being said, folks, don’t miss out on this resonant piece; it’s a song made out of pure magic!
