It’s about time Lizzo released some new music! The three-time Grammy winner graced “The Late Late Show With James Corden” on March 21, where she generously shared a snippet of her upcoming single and stated that her fourth studio album is complete (which she initially announced at SXSW 2022). Corden showed the audience a vinyl record sleeve that stated “Top Secret Lizzo New Music 2022,” and the singer’s new disco-inspired track, “About Damn Time,” was played for less than a minute.
“Turn up the volume / dim the lights / I have a feeling I’m going to be fine / OK, OK / It’s about damn time, it’s about damn time, it’s about damn time, it’s about damn time, it’s about damn time, it’s about damn time, it’s about damn time “In the chorus, Lizzo performs. Gabrielle Union, a fellow guest, even got up from her seat to dance to the catchy track.
Lizzo finally released the complete single and music video on April 14, and it’ll get you up and dancing. “Have you been under a lot of pressure lately? Have you been having a sexy time as well?” Lizzo sent up a tweet. “Well, I’ve got the cure for you… This is where I put my entire Lizussy!” She also revealed that her new album, “Special,” will be released on July 15th.
Lizzo’s new reality dance-competition series, “Watch Out For the Big Grrrls,” launched on Prime Video on March 25, as if her new songs wasn’t enough to keep her occupied. On April 16, she’ll host as well as perform as a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.” She made her “SNL” debut three years ago, performing “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell” and igniting the stage.
