Synth Pop duo Moxxy Jones, comprising keyboard and bass player Frank and guitar player Milan, has unveiled their debut album Unnoticed on June 26. This release is eclectic with industrial, R&B, and alternative rock, and ‘80s and ‘90s sounds all packed up together. Featuring powerhouse vocalists like Trent Park, Elle Rhodes, Mariami, and others, this 11-track collection is heartfelt.
The album kicks off with “This Time,” a powerful anthem of liberation from a toxic relationship. The vocalist’s thick, deep tones transition seamlessly from vulnerability to soaring energy as she declares her independence. Shimmering guitars and hard-thumping drums create an electrifying backdrop for her.
Track 4, “Sinking into You,” shifts gears with a suspenseful rhythm section and dreamy musical arrangement. The vocals are soft and almost defeated, portraying the hypnotic allure of a toxic relationship. The guitar solo menacingly bends and takes us to the eerie low valleys.
The title track, “Unnoticed,” stands out as a particularly contagious piece. The singer’s husky and breathy voice exudes charisma, even as he laments his frustration about being overlooked.
The album closes with “Fray,” a shimmering finale featuring sparkling cymbals and glistening piano melodies. Mariami sings softly, “Can anybody see my dreams as clearly as I do?” Meanwhile, harmonies vocalize ethereally and float above. Unnoticed comes complete with life.
Behind the making of this vibrant and impassioned album is the acclaimed Starita(Childish Gambino) along with Milan, Frank on the production team. Listen to Unnoticed and find the old and new merging in music.
