Glasgow producer mxguinness returns with a sharpened vision and full creative control on his new single โViventis,โ dropping August 29, 2025. After stepping back into the electronic world with a renewed sense of purpose, Mike McGuinness has launched his own indie label, secured global distribution, and handed his catalog to Beatport and all major platforms. Itโs a clean slate done entirely on his terms, and โViventisโ is the first real statement of that independence. Recorded in his personal studio and mastered in Berlin by an engineer known for work with Daft Punk, the track comes quite a simplistic and sweet track, that reflects years of production history distilled into something direct, melodic, and self-governed.
โViventisโ opens with pumping beats thudding underneath a warm, rising bed of synths. The atmosphere lifts quickly as it moves into the vivid and exhilarating, as layered melodies start blooming from all sides. The bassline rolls in thick with a sense of momentum. From there the song shifts in dynamic waves, everchanging but never losing its direction, like it knows exactly where itโs heading. It builds patiently as it drops without clutter, as the kick drum is polished to a fine point after meticulous editing. Each movement feels like a short inhale and exhale, keeping the listener locked into the trackโs focused, forward stride.
As the final sweep of synths circles back into that first warm pulse, โViventisโ lands like a quick journey through motion. The producer sounds like he has reclaimed his lane with his sharp sound. New releases are already on the horizon, but this one sets the tone, as the music is independent, self-directed, and unmistakably his.
