“Wedding Song” by Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends relates to the entire atmosphere of someone’s wedding day, highlighted by driving our “fears” and drying our “tears” away—but it does this by bringing an entire rock genre into the themes, which is atypical, to say the least. But hey, it worked! The song exudes a rather unique sound for a “Wedding Song.” With its fusion of indie rock and folk music and its soaring melodies and descriptive lyrics, it’s a soothing joy to listen to. Yet the energetic flow is unique for its kind.
The instrumentation in “Wedding Song” is folksy with guitars and strings blending together seamlessly to create a lush and organic sound. Thereby, the folk sound and the soulful, heartfelt voice of Alien Friend from REDMOON also give input to the slow guitar tunes while touching on the cinematic and dramatic soundscape inbuilt behind the added composition. Thereby he builds a nostalgic but romantic sound, which the other instrumentals add to.
Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends have depicted the bittersweet, exhilarating, and anticipating feelings at a wedding being embraced by painting descriptive imagery in our heads with the entire wedding landscape drawn in their lyrics with the “red kite sailing ‘neath the sun,” “church bells ringing,” and nightingales “singing.” The song captures the beauty and magic of a wedding day and the hope and excitement of embarking on a journey in a way, no one would have ever thought of. So props to them!
We recommend listening to “Wedding Song” to experience rock music done differently and wedding music like never before.
