William Is releases blazing new song ‘Tread’
The song ‘Tread’ uses the analogy of arthropods emerging from the sea 420 million years ago to explore the dawning of human consciousness. The unconscious has always been represented by water. The rise of humans from literal interpretations of the various myths that have stifled the human spirit for millennia is being seen in our dawning age.
Midway through 2022, William Is started the cycle for the release of his self-titled album. The lyric video for the first single, ‘Ashland’, featured footage taken from William’s helmet as he zoomed through the streets of Chicago on his scooter. The second punk-tinged single, ‘Grow Crazy’, was well received by the online community of streaming playlists and is still receiving airplay all over the world.
