“Worlds” is Pranatricks’ latest moody and contemplative indie psych-rock single that signifies the need to connect with our deepest selves while commemorating worldly misery. Released as the fifth single off the upcoming album ‘Elements of,’ the song showcases Pranatricks’ multi-instrumental prowess and production skills.
The song begins with a vibrant and flickering high-pitched noise, setting an ethereal tone that resonates throughout. Underneath comes a faint dreamy warm distorted guitar music that gushes forth keys of Rhodes piano and creates an immersive sonic landscape. Then emerges high vocals singing over and above. Meanwhile, the tapping drum beats contribute to a sense of propulsion, guiding the listener through the atmospheric distortion.
Pranatricks’ vocals, delivered with a slow and deliberate pace, carry emotional weight and depth. The line, “all the world’s undone so let’s move on,” stands out as a contemplative reflection on the chaotic state of the world.
As the track progresses, it culminates in a psychedelic guitar solo, adding an unexpected and epic dimension to the song. Pranatricks departs from his typical writing style to build this ethereal track.
Enveloped in six minutes of psychedelic haze is its visual companion, filmed in the Vancouver Island Range. The time-lapse connects us to changes in time, place, nature, and location and shows us the inevitability of fate that must take its course for the best.
If you love “Worlds” for all its hazy hypnotism, mark your calendars for Pranatricks’ upcoming sophomore album, ‘Elements of,’ scheduled for release on April 4, 2024. With a prolific output, this track marks the artist’s 17th release in under two years, showcasing his commitment to consistently delivering thought-provoking and evocative music.
