You Will Never Know by Glow Beets: Review

‘You Will Never Know,’ a sun-soaked narrative of post-summer sadness tinged with the regret of lost love, is a story of a summer romance that loses its battle to survive. It’s a fairly new single by Glow Beets, which started from his previous chart-topper “Green Light.” So, before giving this one a listen, be sure to check out the other track to fully relate to “You Will Never Know”!

The track begins with an upbeat array of sonic seduction led by chopped vocal swells, bouncing pads, reverb-drenched electric guitars, beach-like mallets, subtle sub-bass, and the story-telling stability of a grand piano. Although it’s about heartbreak, this song nevertheless manages to be upbeat thanks to Glow Beets’ signature sound. When you play the track, you’ll find that it’s evident from the first few bars that it’s a tropical house sound, and its fairly gloomy storyline eventually pushes the song’s core into a more optimistic place, ultimately progressing into a driving flute-led drop.
