Hailing from Recife, Brazil, the artist has long embraced collaboration across cultures, and this multilingual EP perfectly reflects that vision. Co-written with the late American R&B singer Sam Salter, the project revisits a song they created together before Salter’s passing in 2021, reimagining it in Japanese, English, Spanish, Bengali, and French. Recorded across the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Bangladesh, the EP celebrates music’s remarkable ability to cross borders while proving that love remains a language everyone understands.
The opening Japanese rendition, “レディのように君を大切に,” immediately establishes the project’s romantic mood. Relaxing acoustic guitar strums blend with slow, steady thumping drums to create an intimate backdrop, while the artist’s sensationally soulful voice glides effortlessly through every line. His smooth phrasing and expressive delivery lend the song an elegant tenderness that perfectly complements its theme of cherishing a loved one.
The English version, “Treat You Like A Lady,” retains the same emotional core while leaning further into classic R&B sweetness. The vocals remain silky and fluid, overflowing with warmth and heartfelt sincerity. Meanwhile, “Como Una Dama” introduces vibrant organic percussion and shimmering guitars, adding an irresistible rhythmic pulse. His performance becomes noticeably more playful and sensual here, making the Spanish interpretation perhaps the catchiest of the collection.
Then comes the EP’s emotional highlight, “তোমায় রাণীর মতো রাখব.” Opening with delicate, almost bashful guitar plucks before blossoming into lively percussion and radiant melodies, the Bengali version is breathtaking. The vocalist delivers one of his strongest performances, soaring confidently with a thick, lush vocal timbre that pours emotion into every phrase. It’s a stunning showcase of both his vocal range and his commitment to embracing different musical cultures. The closing French rendition, “Comme Une Reine,” rounds things off beautifully with gentle instrumentation, soulful backing vocals, and a soft, sensual performance that feels effortlessly sophisticated.
Rather than simply translating lyrics, Krey Galin reshapes each rendition to suit its language and musical atmosphere.
