Beware Wolves Volume II by Beware Wolves: Album Review
The Cape Cod-based legend Beware Wolves returns with ‘Beware Wolves, Volume II’. With his distinct, gripping, and soul-touching songs on this 9-track album with an approximate playtime of 30 minutes, the singer has arrived to make his permanent mark in the music industry. According to the artist, most of the songs you hear in the album were recorded on the first go, most of them on the day the lyrics were written. He might sound humble and carefree about the production process, but the album is truly a wonderful and dreamy experience packed in a delightful package.
The project is quite ambitious with numerous tracks and might seem boring packed with repetitive songs at first glance, sounding monotonous, but do not let that deceive you, as each song has its own unique characteristics and flavor. For example, the track ‘Blackout’ is a calm track that showcases the singer’s wonderful and dreamy vocals along with some excellent acoustic guitar. ‘Emergency Contact’ sounds more cheerful and entertaining, while ‘Ever Loved’ is a more simple and melodious track. On the other hand, ‘Fan’ is composed of passionate and relaxing lyrics, soothing riffs, and buttery vocals.
The variations in vocals give each song an extra layer of depth, showcasing the artist’s beautiful singing voice, which is further complemented by the perfect acoustic guitar. Overall, a well-thought-out production with a performance so professional will leave any audience awestruck with the masterful singing and dreamy guitar tunes.
