A.I. Masters, Pt. II by Downtown Lester Brown: EP Review
Downtown Lester Brown makes exceptional funk music for anybody to groove out to. Their EP is titled โA.I. Masters, Pt. IIโ and is top-notch, Iโve gotta say! It is a lovely collection of timbres with cool rhythm sections and expressive vocals. Starting from eccentric guitar pieces to poetic songwriting, the EP grips us entirely from the very minute we hit play.
โFunky Munkyโ starts with a didgeridoo sequence and leads to this exciting rock intro. Percussions start thumping, and a vibe forms when we are led into the verse. The funk train commences. A melodic bond forms with silky guitar bits and smooth organs. Aside from that, a funky bassline takes charge alongside a sensational vocalist. Next up is the colorful number โJigsaw Maverick.โ Itโs a vibrant melody filled with an abundance of tones and creativity. From a teeth-grinding rock solo to a 1970s psychedelic funk rhythm section, weโve got our minds set on this magical cadence, and itโs tough not to get drawn in. The final track on the EP is entitled โB82REZ (Batteries Not Included).โ Itโs a classic noir-style funk piece with a sophisticated instrumental segment and superb vocal harmonies. Together with the guitarโs intricacy and the singerโs charm, it was a fitting end to the EP.
Calling all fans of rock and funk music! Grant your attention to Downtown Lester Brown! Theyโre a fine musical act with plenty of talent, and they deserve massive praise! Do check out their EP, โA.I. Masters, Pt. II.โ
