Released June 16, 2024, on the same day as AGADA’s birthday, you can bet on your years that his new EP, Agada is Here is special and probably very important to the artist. Produced by Nigerian Blaise beats, funnily with the same birthday, you can bet this meant a lot for the whole team.
With music running in his veins, AGADA gives you hooky music, addictive beats and sensational vocals that will get you swooning with eyes closed. After all, he is influenced by the legendary Harry Mosco, his very father.
The intro, “Akachi” mixes an immersive soundscape with catchy ticking beats and our Afro-fusion musician AGADA’s naturally soothing and sensationally smooth vocals. Next up is the hit, “Update,” with its shimmering, relaxing music and jangly percussion. There’s a soothing humming undercurrent that gets us reeling in its flow.
“Available” is more high-energy with catchy, head-nodding, hard-hitting beats that shimmer and jangle with every hit. His voice is lower and thicker here as he carries us along the music and helps us groove harder to the Afro vibes.
“Vawulence” is contagious with his voice rife with excitement. Deeper and thicker backing vocals echo in the back and bring an aura of unity over the rumbling drums and sparkling beats. From the celebration of life in “Vawulence,” we meet love and adoration in “Wahala.” The song has a siren-like, silky, chill atmosphere that creates this sultry aura. His voice is deeper, which really translates to the hopeless romantic condition of the heart.
The 6-track EP, Agada Is Here ends with “Don’t Test Me”’s smug and suave attitude. Switching his ranges, we hear him get us reeling in the confidence over the minimalistic instrumentals.
