Ain’t Buyin’ It by XOLEX: Review
Alexis Curran, a deep country rock artist with a voice made to impress huge crowds, is the musical force behind XOLEX. Her rebellious, and unapologetic stance in the genre is enchanting, and it’s evident in the track “Ain’t Buyin’ It.” The roots of country music are embedded within, and XOLEX’s soul-stirring voice is at the heart of it all. In addition to that, bluesy guitar licks accompany the artist and add a wild flow.
“Ain’t Buyin’ It” was co-written and produced by a veteran of the Nashville music scene, Bobby Terry, and a fellow songwriter, EllieMae. Altogether, with XOLEX’s passionate narrative, an upbeat country number was born and brought along facets of rock with it. You can hear it from the very first note, that it’s gonna be a thrilling sound to hear. The heart-pumping percussion paves the way for the singer’s voice to enter, and a groovy guitar segment tags along. Speaking of the singer, I truly commend her vocal chops. She’s got plenty of spunk, and her technique is pretty impressive. A mixture of raspiness and clean pop was the way to go for XOLEX, and ain’t that impressive?
Amidst the song’s glamor, lies a polished rock solo that’ll cause a hurricane of rhythm to form. Oh, it’s a force of nature all right. There’s no doubt in my mind. Also, with the added delight of a faded banjo, and XOLEX’s voice returning for one last round, “Ain’t Buyin’ It” gave us a sendoff worth remembering.
