Cubby Kamikaze is back, brighter, bolder, and smoother than ever, with his new EP All in Pink 2, released October 17, 2025. Following the introspective textures of his breakout project Homecoming!, this five-track collection dives headfirst into a vibrant soundscape that fuses alternative R&B, modern hip-hop, drum & bass, and Y2K-inspired pop into one seamless groove. Created in just a week, All in Pink 2 feels spontaneous yet sharply refined, which radiates confidence. Cubby calls it โthat moment when confidence meets color,โ and you can hear that vision shine through every shimmering synth and snappy beat.
The opener โ9Lives! (Pink Pop Car)โ sets the mood with immersive, iridescent production, all glittering tones and liquid textures, floating beneath a thick, punchy beat. Cubbyโs husky yet agile voice glides across the rhythm with an effortless cool, singing in a relaxed cadence, like heโs cruising through a late-night dream. Itโs breezy, catchy, and full of that laid-back charm that defines his pink-tinted aesthetic.
Midway through, โCoupe N Dash!โ shifts gears into high energy, riding on hard-hitting percussion and slick transitions. Cubby spits his verses with sleek, quick precision, sliding between melodic flows and rhythmic snaps like itโs second nature. The hook is viral bait, filled with fun, made fast, and built for replays. Then thereโs the closer, โStill LoveMadeโข,โ which slows the pulse but turns up the mood. The production gleams with airy pads and bass-heavy thumps as he delivers his lines in a sultry, nonchalant serenading tone.
Altogether, All in Pink 2 feels like a victory lap that celebrates Cubby Kamikazeโs self-made evolution in North Carolinaโs alt scene. Listen to it on Spotify.
