Denver-based producer J Christopher dives deep into the dark side of electronic sound with his latest EP, All the Demons Are Here, a brooding, immersive project that blurs the lines between chaos and calm. Known for fusing elements of metal, rock, trip-hop, techno, and ambient electronica, J Christopher makes cinematic and primal soundscapes that donโt just play in your ears but invade your mind. Across the EPโs tracks, he guides listeners through a labyrinth of pulsing bass, haunting atmospheres, and spiritual unrest, embodying the internal battle between light and shadow.
The opening track, โThe Unveiling,โ sets the tone with swirling, churning textures and heavy, thunderous, ceremonial beats. A muffled voice speaks gravely through the static, as if announcing the arrival of something ancient and unsettling. The production is dense yet controlled, evoking awe and anxiety in the same breath, like standing at the edge of an unknown abyss.
By โInstinctive,โ the EP shifts into sharper terrain. Glitchy, buzzing synths slice through the mix while revving electronic textures surge forward. The beat drops hard and mechanical, keeping a relentless, alive, and sentient momentum. The track is built for underground clubs and solitary reflection, which mirrors the human instinct to move, even through fear.
Then comes the spine-chilling โDivine Haunt,โ the EPโs longest and most complex track. It opens with tolling bells and a female voice reciting words like โenvy, fear, hatred, jealousyโฆโโa hypnotic confession of human frailty. Soon after, a male voice answers, followed by an unearthly demonic growl, while glitchy synths and metallic beats clash in ritualistic fury.
With All the Demons Are Here, J Christopher conjures an otherworldly, raw, and profoundly human auditory exorcism. It confronts with the shadows we all carry.
