โAlright Nowโ by Manchester rock band Little Strange is a gritty and electrifying anthem that bursts with raw energy and infectious fervor. Produced by Olly Davis and recorded in the unconventional setting of Davisโs home-turned-home-studio, the song encapsulates the bandโs DIY spirit and commitment to their craft.
From the moment the gnarling and revving distorted guitar kicks in, accompanied by evocative riffs and thumping drums, you are swooned and then catapulted into a whirlwind of sound and emotion. The instrumentation sets a dynamic backdrop for Jamie Thompsonโs commanding vocals, which exude attitude and snarls with devious, sexy energy.
Thompson delivers, โNobody knows what I have seen/Nobody knows where I have been/And itโs alright nowโ oozing that defiance and resilience, echoing the spirit of bands like Arctic Monkeys while infusing Little Strangeโs unique flavor.
With the release of โAlright Now,โ Little Strange announces their debut EP, the Red Moon Rises EP, a Western-influenced concept record. Having returned from a two-year hiatus, Little Strange is making up for lost time. So with the EP release is also coming the bandโs launch show at 33 Oldham Street on May 3 to remind you of the taste of their rock appeal and their live sound.
They are known to have headlined across the UK and shared the stage with indie heroes like The Coral and Everything Everything. Their previous releases have garnered widespread acclaim and airplay, earning support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1, among others.
Keep turning the repeat button on โAlright Nowโ and stay tuned for further releases from Little Strange.
