Alrighty Aphrodite by dumb belles: Review
“Alrighty Aphrodite” is a sensational track by dumb belles. The band’s got a whole vibe going off the classic rock and pop genre as well. Their style is a mixture of trippy synths, and similar vocal arrangements within that tone. Tagging along is a LoFi vocal production that has a strong resemblance to vintage rock hits of the Woodstock era. I’m an old soul, whenever I hear bands taking inspiration from the late 20th century, my intrigue skyrockets.
The melodic aura of dumb belles has a charm that is tough to ignore. Their vocal technique and lyrical themes bonded with me pretty well. That sentiment is pretty apparent, and vibing to the rhythms of “Alrighty Aphrodite” was effortless. Singing is a diverse art form, one where poetry has the ability to add to its appeal. So when hearing dumb belles’ lovely tune, I felt immersed in their vocal passages. A flow of mystery and thrill resonated with each passing melody, and the sound of it all had a nice ring to it.
Fans worldwide have still latched on to the cadence of vintage rock, and all emotions that come with it. If that’s not a sign that rock and roll shall prevail through time and space, then I don’t know what is folks. Anyway, “Alrighty Aphrodite” is a true testament to that facet, ‘cause dumb belles’ song is a love letter to psychedelic pop-rock of the 1970s and 1980s.
