Alverlis release a new single + music video for โ Great Things โ
Great Things is an acoustic praise song based on Luke 1:46-55 in the Bible. I wrote it after becoming a mother because I felt so strongly about this verse. After struggling to conceive for so long, my heart was overflowing with joy. It was my intention to write a fresh new version of this bible verse, which has already been made into a song by others. I wish that individuals would be able to feel the joy of praise in thanksgiving for the wonderful things He has done and continues to accomplish in their life.
Great Things (Al-vur-lease) by Alverlis is accessible on all streaming platforms and on Spotifyโs Alverlis Official Playlist with a free account.
Alverlis was born and raised in New York City and is a worship leader, guitarist, singer songwriter, wife, and mother. Her father was a singer/songwriter with his own band in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as a guitarist, so music was always a natural part of her childhood. Alverlis grew up singing and playing guitar with her father, and she enjoyed every minute of it, especially the songs he wrote just for her! After having a personal encounter with the Lord in her teenage years, she picked up a guitar and proceeded to teach herself as best she could. She quickly realized the delight songwriting brought her, and she hasnโt stopped since.
Alverlis is enthusiastic about music and songwriting because she believes it is her way of sharing her faith and experiences with others. She refers to her music as โparts of her notebook in song.โ Alverlis serves as a youth minister at a variety of youth events, concerts, retreats, and liturgical services across the country. She has worked with Youth2000 New York in the past. Sheโs also worked with local religious groups including the Sisters of Life, where she was a Co-worker. She has regularly assisted the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in leading liturgy during the Eucharistic adoration segment of Catholic Underground NYC.
Alverlis is actively involved with a number of parishes and communities in the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens, as well as going wherever the Lord leads him. Sheโs also a songwriter for WorshipNow Publishing, where sheโs had liturgical tunes published. She hopes that her new album, โArise,โ will take believers and non-believers alike to a place of utter surrender and praise. Alverlisโ music is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Deezer, YouTube Music, and Catholic radio stations.
