Another Day by Julian Tran: Review

Julian Tran is a delightful dream pop musician born in Paris but currently hails from London. Their soothing track “Another Day” will urge you to take a break from life’s chaotic existence, and sit quietly to enjoy this delicate melody. The artist’s enticing voice and accompanying rhythms pertain to an almost meditative aura. Altogether, this should resonate with anyone hoping to kick back and relax to a peaceful hymn.
The scene initiates with a gripping vocal ode, and ambient piano pieces tagging along. “Another Day” starts off on a clean note, and eventually the rhythm breaches onto the acoustic guitar territory. This creates a lovely cadence that is almost effortless to hear and is easy listening at its best. There are some interesting transitions here and there, such as an instrumental shift where neo-soul guitar chords and a cinematic synth take shape. The melody is slow-paced at first, but it shifts gears when the percussion gracefully enters. Almost nearing the end, the flow of the song is altered with a slightly more upbeat tempo. I say slightly, ‘cause the song’s essence was not disregarded, rather its soothing charm stayed intact.
From the singing to the songwriting facets, “Another Day” by Julian Tran is one of those melodies that stick with you long after the final note commences. This is primarily because of its stellar dream/chamber pop outfit. It’s a genre that doesn’t require an introduction, rather it’s a vibe that audiences will adore.
