Apaolo captures the last essence of summer in his September release ‘Chase The Sun’
Cincinnati-based artist Apaolo issued his final hurrah for the end of summer season on September 30 with the release of “Chase The Sun,” which is now accessible on all of your favorite streaming platforms.
This is his first-ever professional release. Missing out on a couple of years due to the pandemic and the ensuing hangover it caused, he decided to go to Cincinnati instead of Nashville after betting that the AFC Divisional Round game would determine his fate. Before relocating, Apaolo had never set foot in Ohio or known of anyone living there.
“Chase the Sun” expresses the joy of going forward in life in a way that is both motivational and invigorating. He combines lyrics that are reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen with a current rock and pop-punk style. It’s an incitement to action, with its upbeat orchestration and themes of longing and exploration. This song is for those who are tired of their current life and want to make a significant shift. It provides a clean slate. Apaolo, a student of both contemporary pop production and traditional recording techniques, mixes the qualities that are most admirable in both to produce a sound that is at once polished and authentically rock n’ roll. One Drunk Attractive Fan said – “John Mayer if he had joined Blink-182 instead of the Dead” about the musician.
