Drawing inspiration from legends like Jodeci and Babyface, yet keeping his ear tuned to modern sensibilities, the album feels like a slow dance between eras, stitched together with care, chemistry, and, wellโฆ attention to detail.
Right off the bat, โ1994 BPMโ sets the mood with a hazy, almost dreamlike soundscape. The beat feels submerged, like itโs drifting through fog, while his vocals slide in, raspy, slightly eerie, but undeniably seductive. Thereโs a push-and-pull energy here, as if heโs testing the waters of intimacy without diving in headfirst. Itโs moody, a little mysterious, and honestly, it hooks you before you even realize it.
