Beautiful Second by Oliver Pinder: Review
Itโs been a while since Oliver Pinder last released new music. For a long time, people have longed for new music to come along that really sounds and feels like real life. His new release, โBeautiful Secondโ is the kind of music to which you can immediately sing along and comprehend every word.
The theme of the melodious song is the fleeting intimacy that develops between two people after a brief encounter. This narrative is told in terms that, at first glance, may seem too simple. However, as you know from reading my previous works, simplicity is quite challenging. Simply put, this song has a tremendous pop-ballad vibe. While the piano provides the songโs foundation, more instruments and singers are added as the songโs intensity increases. The music is a perfect reflection of the lyrics and the feelings they express. You may be wondering whether this song has any basis in contemporary music. To be fair, it also recalls the style of classic pop ballads propelled by a grand piano. In other words, it has a modern sound while paying homage to and building upon traditions.
If this is Oliverโs new style, I, for one, cannot wait for his forthcoming albums. The song โBeautiful Secondโ is stunning in its sincerity and the musical accompaniment, which perfectly captures the intensity of the lyrics that are going to break your heart into pieces.
