Beware Wolves Vol 7 by Beware Wolves: Album Review
In the mood for acoustics and folk? I present to you another volume by Beware Wolves, specifically the 7th, filled with 9 genuine performances, high production and full of emotions!
The album’s opener is “Runaway”, a lovely escapade setting the tone of the album you’re about to tread on. It sounds like a live performance, with beautiful guitars setting its melodies alone. Two vocalists come together to complement each other’s tone. When “Sail Away” plays, you’ll want to pay attention to the lyrics because it’s such a feel-good type of track, you’ll have a new-found love to enjoy the simplest things in life. One of the best songs on this album is “Signal”. There’s something about it that just keeps me grounded in the moment, and makes me want to bask in the warmth of sunshine on my backyard. Making it worth your while, “Something Worthwhile” starts out different, and proceeds to a radio-effect voice, giving you some unique melodies at the one-and-a-half minute markup. I really fell for the small portion of the electric guitar solo – so breathtaking! The album comes to an end with “Still Horses”, leaving with a cliffhanger, massive acoustic and vocal skills for the next one to come!
Beware Wolves Vol. 7 is for those with tastes for the country, folk-style acoustics, gut-punching clever lyrics, and swirling layers of vocals. If you have about half an hour to yourself, go right ahead and treat yourself to this album!
