Beware Wolves Vol.8 by Beware Wolves: Album Review
There is a certain elegance and beauty in the music of Beware Wolves, their melodic nature is like a soft breeze in a raging storm. Filled with the characteristics of folk music and a bit of that old-school twist, the album Beware Wolves, Vol.8 is filled with nine sensational tracks.
Telling tales through simple melodies, Beware Wolves manages to blend calming acoustic guitar compositions with soft vocal sections. All of the tracks feel like a lullaby particularly the track “The Take” which has a very deep and personal intent towards it. It feels like a cinematic tale being told through the lenses of a singer and their beats in arms. While other melancholic tunes such as “Today” accompanies a bit of orchestral arrangement to sound mysterious and self-reflective at the same time. Each track has a layer delicate layer of acoustic melodies that give off that folksy vibe.
Overall, Beware Wolves, Vol.8 feels like a complete album piece filled with poetic verses and melodic odes fit for a storybook. Tracks like “The Fourth” incorporating a jazzy guitar solo make me feel quite at ease. Knowing that fresh music as such is still prominent, but also taking existing genres in the acoustic realm and bringing in an interesting twist is what Beware Wolves did a stellar job at. “The Odds” is one of those songs that are perfect for a late-night lullaby. Grab your hot chocolate, get underneath the blankets, and enjoy a perfect winter night to the tracks of Beware Wolves!
