The indie duo, Blueprint Tokyo has released their latest EP, Blue this Aug 28. Giving you post-punk, rock and so much more, they invite you into the passionate throes of music that may as well be healing through the emotional release.
The introductory track, โOdysseusโ gets mysterious with gritty guitar riffs, splurging drums and a brooding rhythm that both depresses and frustrates. With agonizing soaring vocals intertwined with ruminating low ranges, the song creates a depressing, yet addictive combination for us listeners.
Coming up next, โOnly Heartsโ lets the singer throw much more angst and energy while also tenderness and vulnerability in his vocals. The song has a thumping rhythm and driving guitars which makes it tug at your heart and force it to go on chasing the speed.
โClosed Door Dramaโ gets sultry with muffled reverbed vocals reeling into and merging with the soaring, untamed, luscious vocals singing, โWe all want to be loved.โ Raging alongside, are the whirling instrumentals that represent our deepening desire to be pleasured.
โMission Controlโ continues the storm and amps up the energy with grinding, churning riffs over thumping drums. Meanwhile, ethereal harmonies balance the energies with relaxation.
โTransferโ starts quite catchy with a contagious riff, a head-nodding beat and sparkly, sizzling cymbals creating a visible fire. With the vocals letting it all go in the finale, they create a showstopping journey alongside layers of pulsating and hard-hitting rhythm pushed inside.
