Chance by Onbar: Review

Onbar is back with another beautiful single, this time collaborating with singer Orion Song and producer Patrick Hizon. The new release, ‘Chance’, is a lovely ballad heavily influenced by early 2000s R&B and hip hop. Onbar, whose real name is Troy Tuan Truong, emerged while working at a coffee shop, where he got the idea for his stage name “Onbar”. The latest addition to his discography is the beautiful single ‘Chance’.
The single’s upbeat, positive tone and its underlying sensuality create a sense of vulnerability that is both heartfelt and sophisticated. This captivating music finds the delicate line between pop, R&B, and hip-hop with sprinkles of soul. Onbar’s gentle vocals combined with Orion Song’s richness create a Justin Bieber meets Justin Timberlake vibe. Bright, fun, and jovial, this deeply melodious song has an optimistic and positive lilt to it. Yet, while it is a heartfelt love song, there is an underlying sensuality that adds a sense of vulnerability to the single. The artist explains that the song is about falling in love even after being hurt in the past.
‘Chance’ is sincere, sentimental, elegant, and a bit naughty. It can intoxicate listeners from the first chord, and it is worth taking a chance on. Onbar and his team have created a sophisticated exposition of human fragility that will catch your breath. If you are a fan of R&B, pop, and hip-hop, then you will fall in love with this gorgeous song that takes the listeners through a pleasant journey of beautiful sounds.
