โCloud Mazeโ by PODViG! is what happens when a jam session spirals into something cosmicโpure stoner space rock magic. Itโs a slow burn that creeps up on you, wrapping around your mind like a hazy dream before exploding into a swirling vortex of sound. From the very first plucked guitar notes, it gets you feeling like you are stepping into an uncharted dimension because every note is alive and shifting. Layers stack, textures morph, and suddenly, youโre caught in a sonic maze that only seems to expand the deeper you go.
Thereโs an improvisational rawness to the track that makes it feel almost sentient like the music is discovering itself in real time. The trio, Al King on guitars, Ivan Drybas weaving in keyboards, and Eugene Smozhevsky anchoring it all with bass and groove boxes, craft an intricate and immersive soundscape. The beats start soft, almost teasing, then grow into something more insistent, pulling you into the songโs hypnotic current.
As the track unfolds, gnarling riffs slither from beneath shimmering melodies, and the tension builds until, finally, the moment of releaseโa soaring guitar solo that slices through the thick atmosphere like a comet streaking across a star-strewn sky. The climax makes you feel like youโve just unlocked a hidden level in the universe.
โCloud Mazeโ is what happens when three musicians from wildly different backgrounds let their instincts take over. If this is just the first track to go from jam session to finished song, then whatever PODViG! cooks up next is bound to be a trip worth taking.
