The upbeat and ecstatic sounds of Major Kami are the highlights of this electropop track “Coco Dancing”. This song features an outstanding arrangement that is crafted out of synthesizers, electro-bass, and powerful beats. On top of all of that is the singer’s voice, which has this mysterious yet stylish quality to it.
The tempo of the song is pleasant and constant throughout. The production of it is quite clean, and upon hearing it, I had the impression of entering a psychedelic dance floor. The instrumental portion features some light piano chords along with the use of synthesizers to fill out the space. It enhances the atmosphere of electronic dance music, especially when combined with the vocals. Let’s take a moment to discuss those captivating melodies produced by the synthesizer. There are certain kinds of synth noises that can make you feel like you’re in a cyberpunk or a technological dystopia if you will. Instead of emitting that sound, Major Kami composes synth noises that have the feeling of an orchestra and have a tendency to sound more like a stream of consciousness or some kind of psychedelic wave.
Overall, I found the songwriting and instrumentation in “Coco Dancing” to be pleasing to my ears. A few of the pieces really stand out with the one-of-a-kind melodic atmosphere that they evoke. It is currently available for streaming, and it is my sincere hope that the positive impression left by the artist will quickly impact the entire music industry.
