“Come to DMG” by Damage Media Group features smooth rapping and a calming yet upbeat and catchy electronic and hip-hop sound. With this album, there’s a hook around every corner. Just when you are about to predict the beat, there’s a hook breaking the beat with the rhythm.
Jackson Romera Henderson, also known as Supa Hendo, brought many talented artists together to lend their voices and parts in manufacturing the unique sound of his album “Come to DMG” as the chairman of Damage Media Group. He features Ryan Olson as one of the primary songwriters alongside many others, including Jackson himself. Together, they have cultivated music and lyrics worth every penny ever spent.
“Come to DMG” by Damage Media Group is a sonically diverse album that showcases the group’s ability to seamlessly blend different genres and styles, permutating the phonic culture. The 10-track album begins with the highly satisfying sound of both the instruments and vocal melody in the introductory track, “Remedy.” The rapping effortlessly swings to the next with no air gasped. The lyrics hit home for those who hustled and fought their way up from ground zero.
Some honorable mentions would be the tracks “Get Some Money” and “Call You Right Back,” each having a unique structure and mixing resulting in a distinctive sound. Yet each has that familiar nuanced genre that takes us back to the album’s customary spectrum. “Savior” is one of my favorites for the gorgeous ethereal instrumental and the sonorous soprano low-timbre female vocals slowing the tempo next to the rapping section that balances the pacing perfectly.
Overall, “Come to DMG” is your go-to album if you love hip-hop and modern influences in music. So check it out right now—it’s awaiting your attention!
